One year after the launch of Sustainable Textiles Switzerland 2030, the Committed Actors came together to share their experiences and learn from each other.
The STS 2030 goals are ambitious and include a wide range of measures that need to be implemented. Of course, the Committed Actors have progressed to different degrees in the implementation of the measures. Certain individuals have already made significant progress in some areas, while others are still searching for the best way to achieve their goals. In this diversity lies a great opportunity to learn from and support each other, because they all share the same goal: to create a more sustainable textile and apparel industry.
Project manager Désirée Gabriel introduced the exchange of experiences with an informative input presentation that highlighted the progress and challenges so far. Subsequently, solutions were discussed together in various workshop formats and insights and challenges were collected. Participants developed best practices and shared them with the whole group. The openness and willingness to share experiences and results was impressive. Everyone was aware that change can only succeed if it is tackled together.
Finally, participants were asked to write down their needs for further exchange and networking. These wishes will serve as the basis for future events and activities to further promote collaboration and dialogue among the Committed Actors.
The exchange of experiences ended not only with constructive results, but also with a cheerful apéro that lasted into the evening. Overall, the exchange of experiences was a success. The STS 2030 Committed Actors have shown that the industry is ready to take responsibility and work together towards a sustainable textile and apparel industry.
