The application phase for the Fair Fashion Award 2025 has opened today. This marks the start of the second edition of the only Swiss award for social and ecological responsibility in the textile industry.
The award is looking for companies, organizations and projects operating in Switzerland that are successfully implementing innovative sustainability efforts. The focus of this year’s edition is on the circular economy, which promotes forward-looking approaches for a resource-conserving textile industry. “The circular economy is not a trend, but our responsibility – and the key to a sustainable and fair textile industry. With the Fair Fashion Award, we want to make effective projects visible and strengthen people and organizations that are shaping real change,” says Philipp Scheidiger, Managing Director of Swiss Fair Trade. The application deadline is August 22, 2025 and the application form is available online at www.fairfashionaward.ch.
An interdisciplinary jury of experts from the fields of sustainability, business, science and civil society will select the finalists and winners. Two winners in the “Emerging” and “Established” categories will receive their awards at the Innovation Day of Swiss Textiles on November 25, 2025 in Zurich’s Technopark. The winning projects will each receive CHF 20,000 in prize money and consultancy services worth CHF 5,000.
The Fair Fashion Award is organized by Swiss Fair Trade and made possible by the Amphora Foundation. Its content is based on the targets of Sustainable Textiles Switzerland 2030.
