The Textiles Action Network (TAN) is a global platform that brings together national textile initiatives worldwide. It is taking important steps toward a circular textile economy and net-zero emissions. The network currently comprises five programs: WRAP / UK Textiles Pact, the Danish Industry Collaboration on Textiles, the Canadian Circular Textiles Consortium, and Sustainable Textiles Switzerland 2030 (STS 2030).
The members of the network share the target of rethinking textiles along the entire value chain – from production to consumption to disposal. In doing so, they provide concrete support to actors in:
– extending the useful life of textiles
– developing and manufacturing circular products
– using recycled fibers in new textile products
– making the ecological, social, and economic benefits measurable
Being part of this network is an important milestone for the STS 2030 program. Through the TAN, committed actors gain access to international knowledge, resources, and technologies that can be adapted to local conditions. At the same time, it enables the exchange of best practices and innovative solutions to advance the transition to a circular textile economy on a global scale.
