As part of the Sustainable Textiles Switzerland (STS) initiative, a joint commitment has been established to promote the circular textile economy, with a clear focus on Egypt and Morocco. A circular sourcing trip to Egypt will take place from May 17 to 20, 2026. The aim is to work with local partners to develop strategies for closed-loop systems and circular design, to specifically promote fiber-to-fiber recycling in supply chains, and to establish systems that keep textiles in circulation. Great importance will be attached to compliance with the OECD Guidelines for Due Diligence in Business. The project will be implemented in close cooperation with the International Trade Centre (ITC) as part of the GTEX/MENATEX program.
