Description
Participants will begin with a concise overview of polyester: The chemical principles, the industrial manufacturing process, and typical properties of polyester fibers will be explained in a comprehensible manner. Building on this, the economic importance of polyester for the global textile industry will be assessed. At the same time, key ecological challenges such as microplastic emissions and the problem of disposal will be critically analyzed.
The second part of the presentation will focus on future-oriented innovation approaches. Mechanical and chemical recycling processes, alternative raw materials, and functional additives will be presented, among other things. A special focus will be placed on naNea , OceanSafe's biodegradable polyester. The technology, its material properties, ecological benefits, and its role within circular business models will be examined in detail.
Finally, economic potential and new perspectives for value creation along the textile supply chain will be highlighted. Participants will receive practical ideas and recommendations for integrating sustainable polyester solutions into their corporate context.
