United for a social circular economy
The “United for a social circular economy” project aims to close textile cycles while ensuring decent working conditions along the entire value chain. It works closely with the G-TEX program of the International Trade Centre (ITC) and focuses on activities in Egypt and Morocco.
The commitment
The project builds on strong partnerships and jointly develops strategies for circular design, promotes fiber-to-fiber recycling and creates systems to keep textiles in circulation. The basis for this is the OECD-compliant due diligence. In addition, by sharing experiences and concrete results, the aim is to inspire other actors in the industry and accelerate the transition to a circular textile economy. The joint commitment is financially supported by SECO.
