The multi-stakeholder initiative Sustainable Textiles Switzerland aims to work continuously with actors in the Swiss textile and clothing industry. Since the beginning of 2026, the initiative has been organized as a non-profit association.

The members of the association are divided into six sectors. Each sector plays an essential role in promoting sustainability and achieving the ambitious goals of STS.

The board, which is made up of representatives from the various member sectors, is responsible for the strategic management of the association. The office, based in Zurich, is responsible for the operational management of the association.

The advisory board has been established by STS as an important strategic body with the aim of integrating key stakeholders into the strategic development of STS. The State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) provides financial support for the program and, together with the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN), offers strategic support through its participation in the advisory board.
